Leap Widgets

Leap (meanwhile integrated in Volt) is a great platform for creating and running applications. Leap features a graphical user interface to create and layout forms. Fields can easily be added by drag and drop and you can edit properties by a single click. Creating a form is a matter of minutes.

Beyond the forms designer user interface Leap provides means for notifications, approval workflows, access management, views and reports, responsive layout and advanced programming. While the interface to create layout and manage forms is great, the interface to view available forms and data only comes with a basic user interface.

Integration is, as always, key to usability. We created two highly workable Leap widgets to make the integration of Leap based applications as easy as possible. These enable the embedding of Leap forms and provide functions for the display and processing of the data stored in Leap’s database.

By using the Leap Form Widgets, existing forms can be integrated into Connections Engagement Center (previously known as XCC – Web Content & Custom Apps Extension for Connections) with just a few clicks. The anonymity of the forms can also be adapted depending on the intended use. This allows different handling of anonymous complaints forms and authenticating forms. In addition, you can check your forms and their results page with the view function or release them for use.

The Leap Data Widget for Connections Engagement Center (ICEC) provides you with solutions for displaying recorded data sets. For example, you have set up a job offer form. The selection options defined by you are listed in the Data Widget. There you can manage, edit or delete the individual job offers via various interaction options. You can also use the widget to link to an application form. This also creates the technical prerequisites for the realization of workflows and advanced applications with database access. Applications based on Leap with the Leap Data Widget are, depending on the requirements, a valid and cost-effective alternative to Java EE or C # applications.
